Suspend of online application for 100,000 yen subsidy in 43 municipalities

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications revealed on June 2 that 43 municipalities in Japan have stopped accepting online applications for the 100,000 yen benefit for households as of the 1st June. The reason is that there is an increase in asking for confirmation for errors in application information, and the changeover is due to the start of accepting applications by mail.

The 100,000-yen benefit began to be accepted in May which began receiving the benefit in every municipality (except one) throughout the country. In the future, the government will also investigate and announce the benefit rates for each household. The announcement date has not yet been determined.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the municipalities that have suspended online applications are as follows Kitami City and Eniwa city in Hokkaido; Aomori city; Akita city, Koriyama city in Fukushima Prefecture, Sakuragawa city in Ibaraki, Utsunomiya city; Niiza city, Misato city and Shiki city in Saitama; Asahi city, Ichihara city in Chiba; Arakawa ward, Adachi ward; Chofu city, Kokubunji city, Hachioji city, Machida city, Fuchu city and Musashino city in Tokyo; Atsugi city in Kanagawa; Katsuyama city in Fukui; Fuefuki city in Yamanashi; Fukuroi city and Kosai city in Shizuoka; Inabe city in Mie; Konan city in Shiga; Uji city, Kameoka city in Kyoto; Higashi Osaka city and Yao city in Osaka; Kashihara city and Kawai town in Nara; Izumo city in Shimae; Okayama city and Kasaoka city in Okayama; Fukuyama city in Hiroshima; Takamatsu city, Kochi City; Onojo city in Fukuoka; Omura city in Nagasaki; Ishigaki city and Nago city in Okinawa.
